Was it the Chad?

Yes, it was the Chad. For the first time in his young career, Chad Barrett has been named MLS Player of the Week after his two-goal performance in San Jose on the weekend. Given the criticism that I've given Chad this season, I have to tip my hat to him on this. It was definitely his best performance of the season, and I think he was deserving of both goals (even though the second was more or less a gift).

With the recent signing of Ali Gerba, it's no question that Pablo Vitti and Chad Barrett's starting positions with us are in jeopardy, and both players helped their causes on Saturday, with Vitti adding a goal on top of Chad's two.
